Kobe Bryant Traded!
Kobe Bryant has become one of the biggest jokes of the NBA. I know he is one of the best players, I guess, but he cannot carry a team like Michael Jordan did. People try to say that Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong, Tony Kukoc, Ron Harper, and Dennis Rodman. What happened though when all these players went to other teams? They were terrible.
If Kobe Bryant could carry this team it would actually amaze me and then I might consider him to be one of the best players in the league. I know he has a young team but he should be able to carry them more than he is doing. I guarantee you if Michael Jordan was on his team in his prime he would carry them to at least the NBA finals. That's right, I guarantee you!
The reason why most people even pay attention to him is because he actually did win three NBA finals. Consider that he did have Shaquille O'Neal on his team also. So usually when Kobe Bryant was not having a good game he was able to lean on O'Neal. Plus, Shaquille O'Neal won a championship without Kobe. Once he left, Kobe was left with nothing but himself. All he can do now is learn to depend on himself like Michael Jordan did.
The distractions continue to come considering he did demand a trade. He really needs to realize that this will only bring destructions to the whole team and make them perform worse. I'm sure his teammates do not like him complaining and not wanting to be part of the team. Who would want to help someone like that win again? He said it was misinterpreted but it is still all over You Tube. There is no way anyone could misinterpret that. He wants to be traded!
We'll really get to see how much it makes a difference when he plays around a bunch of good players for the USA Olympic team. It's about time that he was not hot headed and think that he could not play for the team anyways. Remember, if it wasn't for Shaquille O'Neal they would have never have won those championships. He would just be another Michael Redd that scores a lot but no one really talks about because his team is never very good. I know it is so sad, but so true.
I know for the LA fans that it is easy to cheer for someone that did help them win championships. But the rest of our nation sees it all through different eyeglasses. We see the baby that he really is.

Lakers Remain Dominant Without Kobe Bryant
Time and time again the Los Angeles Lakers have proven themselves to be the top NBA team of the 2000's. Championship after championship, ring after ring, the Lakers have preserved their spot in NBA history. However, as always, some skeptics would claim that the Lakers are only dominant because of the presence of Kobe Bryant, arguably the best basketball player int he NBA right now. However, I would argue that with the Kobe Bryant out with an injury, the Lakers continue to prove they are a championship team
In their February 16th game against the Golden State Warriors, every member of the Lakers squad stepped up their game. This holds especially true for Shannon Brown, called in to take Kobe's spot while he's injured. Shannon Brown scored 27 points with 10 rebounds. Those are almost Kobe like figures. This would lead us to think that maybe Kobe has rubbed off on the other players. He is undoubtedly one of the most mature players on the team, and he could teach the other a lot about the fundamentals of basketball.
The most important aspect for the Los Angeles Lakers is their depth. On any given night, any member of the 5 man starting team might be the night's high scorer. Gasol, Artest, and Odem are each dominant players on their own. Any team would be lucky to have any of these guys as their star player, but the Lakers contain a supporting cast of star players for their superstar, Kobe Bryant. For all the naysayers and skeptics, rest assured, the Los Angeles Lakers really are as good as everyone says.
